HCM CITY — The organising committee of Miss Héritage International France 2019 held a meeting on Tuesday at the Continental Saigon Hotel to call for Vietnamese candidates for their pageant.
The beauty contest, crafted and organised by “Koncept Group” and Van Nam Sarl Limited Company, will be held for first time in Paris, France, next month with the media sponsorship of Thanh Nien Media Group.
Van Jeanson, Head of Organising Committee, said the contest aims to honour the awareness of preserving cultural heritage of the world’s youth. The jury members also said the humanity meaning of the contest will bring great benefits to world cultural heritage.
The contest will call for candidates worldwide, aged between 18 and 28.
This year’s contest will be sponsored by Dominique Beaufrere, the director of the Safran Museum, Alain Auzet, the mayor of Réau City as well as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation based in France.
The grand title and sub-titles winners will take part in “The Journey to International Heritages” programme that will be held in France, Switzerland and Italy to convey positive messages about their concerned heritages, promote the cultural exchanges among the nations and diverse understanding about culture and tourism as well as honour the youth’s beauty of intelligence globally.
The deadline for the application is October 1. The final night will take place on October 20 at De la Madeleine Theatre in Paris.
Miss Việt Nam crowned Miss Tourism Asia Ambassador
In another development, Việt Nam’s beauty representative, Lê Bảo Tuyền, has triumphed over 25 contestants to become Miss Tourism Asia Ambassador 2019, which was held in Osaka, Japan.
The 21-year-old also won the sub-title Best Beauty Face at the pageant.
Runners-up were Hirona Kobayashi from Japan and Vương Thanh Hằng from Việt Nam.
“I was overwhelmed with happiness and mixed feelings as all of my efforts have finally been paid off,” said Tuyền in an interview with thanhnien.vn.
“I would like to thank my family, my friends and fans – people who have always been by my side and supported my since the early days of the beauty pageant. I will try my best to better myself to meet everyone’s expectations and affections,” she adds.
Tuyền, a student of University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Hồ Chí Minh City, won the title of Miss Ambassador of Áo Dài (Vietnamese Traditional Long Dress) in 2018. — VNS
